Stunner of the Month August and September 2013 Reviews

I was going through my pictures for the reviews I have to write up and noticed I had missed 2 reviews last month - my first Conscious Box and my first month of Stunner of the Month. Sadly, the pictures were gone Conscious Box and that box has been dismantled and at least partially used, so that one's pretty much out. On the other hand, thankfully, I must not have transferred the Stunner of the Month pictures over to my computer at all and they were still sitting on my phone! So, I'll just go ahead and review both months in one post here.

I heard about Stunner of the Month on the Facebook group I'm in for sub boxes. For $9 a month, you get a new pair of sunglasses! There was a code for your first box free, trystunner (all lowercase), so I had to try it! You can't beat free! You can choose from male, female, or unisex. I went with female.
Opening the box (August)
Your first box comes with a little keychain glasses repair kit, which I thought was a nice touch! As for the glasses, since this is a total mystery pick each month, and there appears to be at least some variation in member boxes, I had no idea what to expect.
The Cheshires
I got what they call "The Cheshires". They're clear plastic with pink accents. I saw a huge range of sunglasses, from totally bizarre ones I'd never wear to fairly stylish ones I would. These are somewhere in between for me, but definitely closer to the good end. They probably aren't ones I'd reach for first because they just look a little off on me, but for free, I'm not complaining. They're nice and big, so they do the job.

I had decided to stick with Stunner of the Month for another month, partly because I'm a sap and I feel like I should pay them for something after getting a free month and partly out of curiosity. I'm so glad I did! My second month's glasses were AWESOME!!
La Dolce Vita (the opening the box shot was basically the same as above, just minus the glasses repair kit)
I LOVE these! They look fantastic on and I had been looking for a pair of red sunglasses! I love the size and the shape and while I normally stick with plastic, there's something nice about the wire frame - it doesn't feel cheap, which is surprising for a pair of $9 sunglasses.

So, I think I'm going to stick with Stunner of the Month. I love sunglasses and I could stand to have a little more variety. I know I'll have months that are way out of my comfort zone, but I think it'll be fun. And it's always nice to have a few extra pairs of inexpensive sunglasses around in case I lose a pair or forget to put one in a case and get it all scratched up. Though these do come with nice soft bags to store your glasses in, which is nice!

If you'd like to sign up for Stunner of the Month, head over to their website! I don't think they currently have a referral system. I think they're still accepting the coupon code for the free month, though, so try it: trystunner (all lowercase)!

(And just a disclaimer: The first box was free with a coupon code, but I bought the second box myself and was not compensated for this review in any way. All opinions are my own.)
