Ok, so, Julep is one of my favorite subscriptions! I've had it since January and have already amassed a pretty large collection of polish. Which was great because I just went through and threw out all my really old polish and anything that wasn't 3-free. Each month, Julep releases new polish collections and for $19.95/month, you get either 3 polishes or 2 polishes and a beauty item. When you sign up, you take a short quiz that helps determine your Maven Style Profile - that would be the box they'd suggest you choose based on your personality. But, you can switch between profiles at any time - I'm Boho Glam, but I switch almost every month! Between the 20th and 24th of each month, box choosing opens up - at this time, you go and look at that month's colors and products and choose which, if any, box you want. You can always skip a month if you don't like the colors or want to work through your current stash - you just have to select the skip option during the choosing period. You can even choose to upgrade to the full collection for an additional $35. Once you've made your choice, the box usually ships within a week and you get your box around the beginning of the next month.
July's theme was The California Coast collection. Unlike June's collection, I wasn't terribly tempted to upgrade to the full collection this month (June was my first upgrade - it was a set of beautiful preppy beachy themed polish, though the beauty items, a DD creme and concealer set, were underwhelming). In the future, I'll post updates when collections are first announced, but since I didn't last month, here's a picture of the full set:

I went with the It Girl box this month - It Girl is always 3 polishes, no beauty items. I'm interested in the Beach Tonic, which was the beauty item included in all the other boxes, but I liked the polishes better in the It Girl Box, so It Girl it was. Julep is probably the box I look forward to the most, so when it arrived early this month, I tore right in!

Julep Green Tea Facial Blotting Papers |
- Tracy - this was so pretty in person! It's a sparkly medium blue that dries with their sea salt finish.
- Nadia - this was the one I was least excited about, mainly just because I don't really know how to incorporate yellow into my nails well yet. It's really pretty though. A darker, buttery yellow with some shimmer.
- Angela - Julep describes this as "deep sea blue molten". It's a dark blue-green with a purple sheen. The purple isn't noticeable on the site's pictures, but I definitely see it in person.
- Blakely - (add-on) this one is somewhat similar to Angela in that it's described as a molten. This one is purple and green. I almost wish Angela didn't have the purple so they were a bit more different, but they're still both pretty.
- Adele - (add-on) this is a top coat that gives polish a golden sheen. I loved the swatches of different colors with this on top, so I had to add it on.
- Fireworks - (add-on) I got this box just before the 4th of July, and this was perfect in my manicure! It's a glitter top coat with different sized glitters in red, silver, and blue!
