I'm not really sure how much this theme screams August to me, honestly, but it seems like a pretty collection. I'm also not sure how much I can post from their site on here, in terms of pictures, so I think for now I'll describe the colors and products, with the picture above as reference for the colors. There are swatches on different skin tones on the Julep site.
The beauty product of the month is a heel and foot stick that is supposedly "moisturizes, stimulates circulation, and prevents blisters". That sounds pretty good to me, especially since my heels are always a mess.
As always, there are 5 boxes you can choose from (and the upgrade box, which includes all polish and both beauty products):
- Modern Beauty - this is the beauty product only box. No polish. You get the heel stick and a set of their new hydrating masks for feet, hands, and face. This box seems a tad overpriced to me given the fact that you only get one set of the one-time use masks.
- Boho Glam - Heel stick along with Lois, a light pink frost, and Francis, a light green creme. This is my usual profile, but I didn't really like either of these colors this month, so I swapped profiles this month.
- Bombshell - Heel stick along with Bea, a light yellow creme, and Lacey, a dark blue shimmer. I love Lacey, but not Bea, so I chose Lacey as an add-on.
- Classic with a Twist - Heel stick along with Sylvia, a classic purple creme, and Veronica, a "modern mauve creme". I really loved both of these colors and surprisingly, unless Veronica turns out more coral than it looks, 2 colors I need, so I chose this box this month!
- It Girl - this is the polish only box. You get Fiore, a dark brown creme, Nellie, a somewhat dark fuchsia creme, and Marjorie, an orange frost. I was tempted by this box because it seems like a good lead-into-fall box, but decided I have a brown that is probably pretty close and I probably wouldn't use the orange much, so I chose Nellie as an add-on.
Gorgeous! I had to add that on as well. So, with my 3 add-ons, my box this month is a bit pricier than usual, but I'm excited for all that polish! As usual, if you want to join Julep's subscription service, please use my link! If you use promo code, FREEBOX, you can get your first box free! You just pay shipping!
(And just a disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post in any way. All opinions are my own. The final link is a referral link, but I also included a non-referral link at the top.)
